Adcase new smartphone cover

A German engineer “Philip Frenzel” designed and built a new smartphone cover with retractable shock absorbers, hidden in the body and able to spring out only when the phone is in free fall.

L'AD case it is a product not on the market for now, but it is an idea with a rather simple functioning, which ended up under the limelight after being awarded by the German Society for Mechatronics.

Under normal conditions theAD case looks like a regular covers, perhaps a little bulkier than others, but able to adhere to the profile of the smartphone which goes to protect. The sensors installed inside the covers, when they detect a sudden and sustained acceleration, a mechanism is activated which is able to release eight sprung protuberances from the four corners, which cushion the impact of the smartphone with the ground and keep the screen off the ground.

L'Adcase is a airbags without air, in which instead of gaseous cushions an intelligent solution is replaced, which after each fall can be repositioned in the cover without problems.
The new smartphone covers it has yet to be perfected, but Philip Frenzel has already applied for a patent; in a few months barring complications we could see it on the market, ready to buy.
