Be on the lookout for an emerging digital threat: the so-called 'Facebook Guest' message, sent mainly to page administrators on the popular platform. Despite the constant updates of the platforms, as discussed in our previous article, it is essential to examine this new phenomenon which has already caused unwanted changes in ownership of some communities.

From now on, pay special attention to the 'Facebook Guest' message: a spam that mainly affects page administrators. If you have created a community on Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg's platform, this warning is even more relevant. Recent investigations reveal that this is not simple spam, but a threat capable of generating unpleasant surprises, especially for page administrators.

The crux of the current issue is this: we have received numerous private messages along the lines of: “We've informed you of a problem with your profile. We have not received a response. Follow the instructions in the link for expert assistance. Without a response from you, we may suspend your profile indefinitely. Team of experts!” We avoid sharing the link to prevent scam attempts.

Remember, Facebook will never contact you this way; official communications are clearly authentic and not sent as private messages.

In conclusion, the 'Facebook Guest' message is a danger: it leads to fake pages that aim to steal login data, in some cases risking the control of pages with millions of fans.
