Fully autonomous cars in 2020, Musk

By 23 April 2019No Comments

«" In a year from today we will have more than a million fully autonomous cars ". This was stated by Elon Musk by lifting the veil on a new microchip on which Tesla is betting for driverless cars, with not even a human being ready to intervene in an emergency.

The announcement is an opportunity for Musk to reject LIDAR radar technology, the one used by rivals in the development of autonomous cars.

The company's stock was down on Wall Street yesterday after one of its cars caught fire in a parking lot in Shanghai. "We have sent a team to the scene and are working with local authorities to ascertain what happened," Tesla says of the Model S explosion. "
